Erosion / Corrosion Resistance:
Aklin Carbide is also one of the leading suppliers of erosion / corrosion resisting technology for pumping and other areas in the world today.
We specialize, using HVOF tungsten carbide, plasma applied oxide, polyurethane and brazing alloy coatings in extending the economic life of pumps in service all over the sub-continent of Southern Africa.
Using these coatings Aklin Carbide is able to reduce the damage caused by erosion in many clear water pumps and coupled with the coatings we will be prepared to cast most components, traditionally cast in bronze, out of much tougher and less expensive stainless steel, thereby reducing costs further.
Furthermore, by maintaining the fine-running clearances between the HP and LP areas inside a pump Aklin Carbide maintains the efficiency of your pump for a much longer period of time thus maintaining your pump’s average electricity usage throughout the pumping campaign.
